Grupo Infrico, a manufacturer of commercial refrigeration equipment, began its direct activity in Portugal through the company Infrico Supermarket.
The group, from Lucena, in the province of Cordoba (Spain), currently has more than 600 employees in 13 delegations in Spain and 16 abroad, and exports almost 50% of its production to more than 80 countries, with emphasis on the European Union, Morocco, Chile, the United States and the United Arab Emirates. “Therefore, it could not fail to be directly in Portugal,” constituting the entry of Infrico Supermarket in the national territory a “natural” step, says Nuno Neto Morais, country manager, also emphasizing that “we intend to be a player of high value and reference in the large distribution in Portugal.
Infrico Supermarket pretend to be, within three to five years, among the top three players of reference in the large distribution in Portugal, noting that “despite the proximity between Portugal and Spain, there are slight differences in the characteristics of some teams. Therefore, the head of the Portuguese operation states that the group “is sensitive and will naturally adjust its equipment to the style and typology of Portuguese stores”.
